JOB SCOPE

The Program Manager of Engineering is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. This role will take projects from original concept through final implementation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with existing groups to develop requirements for each functional process of order management and implementation
  • Serve as communication point between project teams and senior leadership to effectively communicate project status, track project issues and timely escalation.
  • Develop and review complex requests for proposals and contracts, as well as making recommendations weighing a variety of factors.
  • Meet and evaluative outside vendors who provide the required services and recommend the best solutions
  • Recommend policy and new initiatives. Develop project plans and reviewed as required. Establish short- and long-term goals for technology solutions and influence positive change.
  • Recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent. Find solutions and develop improvements and innovations to enhance performance.
  • Work with internal PMO organization to support project development and tracking
  • Handle broad- based and complex communication for internal and/or external audiences. Handle conflict resolution to maximize opportunity and minimize exposure to risk.•
  • Actively participate in cross-functional groups to solve problems. Utilize a network of relationships to collect and disseminate information, build support, and secure buy-in for desired objectives.
  • Maintain good working relationships with industry peers, company peers, Divisions, suppliers and project members.

BASIC/ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working in a Project Management capacity
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a Program Management capacity
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and work experience

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience managing 3 to 5 projects at any given time, as well managing either software or hardware related projects
  • Proficient in managing project budgets of at least $1 million annually
  • Comfortable utilizing various project planning tools; MS Project, Excel, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working within Telecommunications Industry
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • Experience working within a Waterfall Methodology environment
  • Knowledge of Telecommunication functions and terminology; Headends, Radio Frequency (RF), etc.
