TITLE: System Engineer IV4

LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO

JOB SUMMARY: Provide technical solutions unique to Charter's Operations Support Systems including automating the manual repetitive tasks on a variety of frameworks and monitoring of the developed applications on Application Performance Monitoring (APM) platform. Develop web applications using Angular framework. Use Agile methodologies to provide visualization capabilities and develop/maintain/support the software applications/automations. Design and develop software applications using object-oriented technologies. Utilize development technologies such as Java, Python, Selenium and Groovy. Review and select technologies suitable for instrumenting applications/automation platform. Review application performance, collect operations metrics, and fine tune the applications. Perform software systems and application automation scripts utilizing Shell/Bash, Selenium and write custom Java Plugins. Develop and configure database interfaces using JDBC, ODBC, and any other method to support applications automation. Deploy and control version control tools such as SVN/GIT/Jenkins. Develop Unit, Acceptance, and Integration test cases using APIs. Automate test cases to shorten the testing cycle and gain operational efficiencies. Perform maintenance operations, application upgrades, patches, and installing new software. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software applications/automations to support new or existing business initiatives. Install and develop web application. Support functional/technical understanding of the existing applications. Analyze incoming requirements, perform feasibility study and assist with the project timeline for new intakes and production issues. Monitor applications to help troubleshoot using logs and Application Performance monitoring tools. Work with cross-functional teams to implement the firewall policies. Prepare high-level software technical design.

Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $128,898.

EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology or related and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in developing applications or a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 2 years of post-bachelor's degree experience developing applications. Must have 2 years of experience in developing web applications using Angular framework; designing and developing software applications using object-oriented technologies; software systems and application automation scripts utilizing Shell/Bash, Selenium and write custom Java Plugins; deploying and controlling version control tools such as SVN/GIT/Jenkins; performing maintenance operations, application upgrades, patches, and installing new software; installing and developing web application; and monitoring applications to help troubleshoot using logs and Application Performance monitoring tools.

The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as commissions or bonuses.
