- Work in an Agile environment utilizing agile methodology on a daily basis
- Support for development projects written in a variety of languages which may include Ruby, Java, Python, Node.js, shell scripting, and Golang
- Able to develop tools using at least one scripting language
- Interact with various stakeholders to understand their business needs, communicate project status and develop relationships to ensure satisfaction
- Expertly use tools and analytics to provide insight and make recommendations
- Strong understanding of merged code development using Git
- Leverage various data and technology resources to augment analysis
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions from stakeholder groups
- Identify manual processes that can be automated
- Mentor and lead junior developers in both design and technology
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience administering Linux systems
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with Git
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with at least one of the following; Ruby, Node.js, and/or Python
- Expert level understanding in administration of Linux operating systems
- Expert level understanding of sizing, build requirements and architecting of new virtual machines in a Cloudforms hosted environment
- Expert level understanding as well as hands-on experience of networking and network principles
- Ability to maintain an IPAM solution
- Expertise in the use of Ansible (or another configuration management platform), NGINX and Docker
- Strong experience in architecting large software systems
- Expert level experience in the operational nature of a deployed software system
- Proficiency with code repositories, development frameworks, programming languages such as Ruby, Go and Python.
- Expert level experience with software repository (Gitlab, Bitbucket) and code repository (Artifactory, Nexus) administration.
- Expert ability to apply Data Analytics techniques to operational problem solving.
- Expert ability to understand and manage projects, timelines and deliverables
- Ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action with sustainable solutions
- Experience with database support (Mongo, Postgresql, etc.) and Big Data/Data Warehousing (Hadoop, etc.)
- Experience with Consul, Kubernetes / Rancher, Elastic, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Jenkins and Gitlab-CI
- Technical understanding of linear and IP video delivery systems
