- Works on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization.
- Participates in network planning.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant network engineering experience.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work the following schedule: Sunday through Thursday 8PM - 5AM or 9PM - 6AM
- Advanced knowledge of Cable Industry Architecture and Standards.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP to include advanced IPv4 and IPv6 subnetting and address structure, and routing protocol usage.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of network design, network architecture, protocols, and network topology, to include DOCSIS, CCAP, and FTTx technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of software, tools, workflow, and ticketing platforms.
- Utilize network monitoring/planning platforms, knowledge and application of automation development, reporting and/or standards compliance/audit methods (scripting, SQL, etc.).
- At least one of the following: SCTE DOCSIS 3.1 Essentials Course Certificate, CCNA Specialty Certification (Data Center, Security, Service Provider, etc.), professional level certification (CCNP, JNCIP, PMP, etc.), SCTE DOCSIS Engineering Professional Course Certificate, Vendor coursework (Cisco, Casa, Arris, Adtran, Nokia, Juniper, others as needed) for expertise in a particular platform for DOCSIS/FTTx services, project management course completion, or leadership training.
- Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.).
- Experience in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations, basic network devices, and basic network appliances.
- Ability to perform duties in a very fast paced team environment and ability to learn new technology quickly.
- Must be able, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
- Knowledge of the following: Perl / Python / Regex.
- Knowledge of company products and services.
