JOB SUMMARYAs a Systems Designer at the platform level of the Kite program you are a hands-on technical leader with expert knowledge of your platform. You translate the core layer of the system to your platform while also evolving the overall system with contributions from your unique perspective.

You design tooling, specifications, and libraries specific to your platform while also contributing to the overall system where possible. You work closely with your consumers to understand their needs and help them engage with the system.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESActively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Write design guidelines for platform specific components and patterns.

Maintain platform specific UI libraries and sticker sheets.

Work with our accessibility engineers to ensure designs meet accessibility requirements, and propose alternate designs to better meet those requirements.

Provide support and design consultations to our system consumers while using their unique situations and perspectives to evolve our system.

Design mockups to support product requirements.

Lead the design of information architecture and wireframes that both meet business goals and ensure a positive user experience.

Influence the wider design team to drive cross-platform consistency.

Design, implement, monitor, enhance, and troubleshoot design specifications and assets suitable for implementation.

Organize files and follow all established design patterns when applicable.

Manage detailed requirements of design and wireframe reviews and brainstorming sessions to help solve problems.

Ensure alignment with cross-functional team to understand expectations, priorities, and necessary deliverables.

Lead the greater design team to respond, clarify or define specific application look and feel.

Be a best practices specialist for the design team.

Deliver quality results to the design team.

Influence the overall design and direction of the product.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSRequired Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to demonstrate UI and UX design skills via portfolioDemonstrated in-depth understanding of platform specific nomenclatureDemonstrated in-depth experience with creating highly-detailed annotated wireframes, user flows, and process flows within consumer applicationsExpert knowledge of new design techniquesExpert knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) process methods to digital applications from concept to launchExpert ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX workEffective time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when neededEffective client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)Demonstrated in-depth experience with project estimationDemonstrated in-depth experience with planning and facilitating user research and usability tests neededDemonstrated in-depth understanding of UX best practicesExpert ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneouslyAbility to prioritize and organize effectively

Required EducationBachelor's Degree in Design/Art/HCI/Media/Related Field, or equivalent real world experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of YearsDigital design experience - 10+Experience with basic prototyping tools (Invision, Flinto, Marvel, etc.) - 5-10Experience with common Interface Tools (Axure, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch) - 5-10

The pay for this position has a salary range of $107,600.00 to $191,200.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
