JOB SUMMARYPassion for software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improve the customers' experience. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives. Projects are usually of moderate complexity, and require solid knowledge of development technologies and tools. The Software Engineer works in most phases of a project, performs maintenance, and provides technical assistance/advice on existing software solutions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Plan, design and develop light weight microservices in Java apart from maintaining and improving operational reliability/scalability of existing services in Cloud computing platforms such as AWS ,Kubernetes

Understand the application and platform development goals to build containerized microservices managed in Kubernetes open-source platform.

Utilize with object-oriented programming language and design patterns to provide technical solutions and perform hands-on development.

Monitor system utilization / performance for capacity planning purposes; plan for business continuity.

Responsible for developing microservices that supports performance, reliability, availability and scalability.

Participate in code review sessions to validate adherence with development standards.

Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Coordinate with technical teams to analyze and resolve software related problems causing operational issues, advising on specialized features and functions.

Provide system analysis and improvement recommendations.

Identify and recommend system designs/requirements for software enhancements with senior team members.

Implement, monitor, test, and audit new software programs to maximize efficiency of software systems.

Participate in continuous performance improvement sessions to discuss opportunities to improve processes and/or standards.

Coordinate with technical teams to analyze and resolve software related problems causing operational difficulties, advising on specialized features and functions.

Follow established configuration/change control processes.

Work with team to evaluate workload.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishMust have Java 8, Spring Boot & Jersey Framework, Cloud deployment experienceStrong knowledge of Java, J2EE and services-oriented architectureStrong experience with building APIs and services using prevailing design models (REST, SOAP).Familiarity with CI/CD automation and DevOpsExperience in RESTful Web Services, OOP Design patterns ,Spring Boot, JPA, Docker, Kubernetes or similar technologiesExperience designing and developing cloud solutions using AWS (preferred),Solid understanding of Java 8, Spring boot, concurrency and memory managementNon-relational database (Cassandra, Mongo) experienceUnderstanding of integration technologies such as Kafka and Middleware tools.Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.Strong understanding with infrastructure automation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong understanding of build automation technologies (Team City, Jenkins)

EducationBA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
