Job Description

The Visa Business Solutions North America Product Undergraduate intern will be responsible for uncovering hidden behaviors and trends in B2B payments to help small businesses and organizations of all sizes grow and thrive. This intern will have the opportunity to work closely with and be mentored by industry leaders.

Specific efforts may relate, emphasize, and grow your Product experience within a leading technology company with an emphasis on Business Insights, Data and Predictive Analytics. Collaborate with product leadership to support a bold strategic vision, further the organization’s analytical mindset while collaborating with our Global VBS data solutions, data science teams.

The successful candidate will gain broad experience and insight into Visa’s business across the globe that will:

  • Apply cutting-edge methods for determining client growth and supporting segmentation strategies.
  • Exposure to analytical and empirical methods and methods to judge the appropriateness, performance and value of different statistical techniques.
  • Develop exploratory modeling tools that applies predictive analytics that advocates for data-driven business decision making.
  • Grow story-telling ability from being data-driven to developing the message of: Why does this matter? How can this be made actionable?
  • Be involved in a highly collaborative environment exposed to various business functions that include sales, product, and partner, and data-science teams.
  • Provide an opportunity to understand analytical use cases, applying data insights to support showcasing best practices with Visa’s product and service offerings to solve complex industry problems.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree,

    graduating December 2022or later
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent scale)
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.
  • Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position. Future sponsorship will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Rising Senior or will be entering final year of study Fall 2022
  • Curiosity to want to be the first in the know via what the data says
  • Understanding of using Databases and Database tools (SQL)
  • Ability to extract insights from research using advanced excel and advanced modeling methodology
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools/technology (Tableau, Microsoft BI)
  • Microsoft Office Proficient (Ppt, Excel, Word)
  • Data visualization acumen
  • Excellent written and oral communication
