The DPS Risk Services vision is to partner with our clients to provide future-ready risk products and services that enable them to achieve superior performance. Our fraud analytics consultants and data analysts play an integral part in helping our clients realize this vision. By coupling in-depth analysis of fraud trends with DPS best in class risk products, we ensure our clients perform significantly better than industry averages. The position will require you to leverage massive amounts of data and turn it into actionable insights that drive performance and deliver value for our clients.

DPS Risk Services is looking for person who is a self-starter, results oriented and is focused on delivering innovative, actionable analytical insights to drive superior performance.

Responsibilities

  • Build out data analytics environment to leverage a variety of data sources

  • Collaborate with internal technology and data analytics teams to capitalize on existing synergies and to drive complementary business performance insights across the broader organization

  • Develop and maintain standard and customized operational and fraud performance insights across various measures

  • Provide analytical insights and data visualizations for Visa clients, team members and other internal resources

  • Research and implement better methods to streamline data collection and reporting efforts

  • Work effectively with internal/external resources to define analytical objectives, data requirements, obtain data and perform in-depth analyses to achieve a defined business objective

  • Build out client performance insights and measurements against industry benchmarks with an eye to identifying opportunity for performance improvements and/or increased profitability

  • Examine data sources and ensure that reporting and presentations are accurate and logical

  • Present data to clients, management, and team members in a straight-forward, understandable manner

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required Must be proficient in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills High level of proficiency manipulating and aggregating data in both standard and non-standard formats from a variety of sources. Big data skills (Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Pig) and SQL skills are required Advanced Tableau Desktop and Server skills are required

Preferred Qualifications 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD Strong background and skills with ETL systems, with Alteryx as preferred platform Deep SAS experience; proficiency and continuous skills development in leading edge analytic tools, e.g. SAS OR, Tableau, Revolution R, SPSS, SAP BO. Hands on Hadoop experience is a plus Hands on experience on processing extremely large data sets. Knowledge of payment network transactional data is a plus Ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies Define and design analytic approaches to business problems Ensure the usage of the correct analytic measures and metrics to solve the business problem Deliver results within scope and budget Define and execute quantitative and financial analysis for key clients Very strong project management skills and experience Excellent understanding of data marts, data relationship concepts and data processing Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English Results oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor Good business acumen with strong ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies. Experience in payment, retail banking, or retail merchant industries is preferred Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, with the ability to tailor data driven results to various audience levels Very detailed oriented, is expected to ensure highest level of quality/rigor in reports & data analysis Proven skills in translating analytics output to actionable recommendations, and delivery Experience in presenting ideas and analysis to stakeholders Exhibit intellectual curiosity and strive to continually learn Visa experience or knowledge of the payments industry (including payment processing, operations, and risk) a plus

The position starts at $109,800. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus and equity.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
