Job Description

The DPS Risk & Dispute Product vision is to partner with our clients to provide future-ready risk products and services that enable them to achieve superior performance. The Vice President, DPS Risk & Dispute Product Management is responsible for managing risk and dispute products supporting Debit, Credit and prepaid processing, while enabling Visa’s innovation and technology roadmap. This position serves as the business and product owner, responsible for general management of the Risk & Dispute processing line of business and the revenue it generates.

In addition, this position will be responsible for managing a team of fraud and data analytic SMEs supporting to help win Debit, Prepaid and Credit value added service business with new and existing clients. The position will work closely with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, particularly within Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Operations, and the Legal teams, to execute goals and to maximize business performance. This position will report to the Vice President of Issuer Processing and DPS Product Management

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key executive leader for DPS, managing a multi-million dollar P&L and technology development budget for the Risk & Dispute product portfolios.
  • Head the 25+ member Issuer Processing Risk Operating Committee to provide cross-functional insight and alignment on current fraud landscape and overall organizational Risk roadmap accountable to the goal dashboard objectives for DPS Risk & Dispute Product.
  • Oversee efforts of the 12 FTEs reporting into the team and ensure the delivery of services meets or exceeds specific standards developed; this includes a best in class innovation and ‘product concept to market implementation’ delivery time.
  • Serve on Visa Risk Executive Council and Visa Risk Steering Committee, while acting as the SME Executive for DPS and issuer processing.
  • Manage and continually enhance Risk value added services, strategy, objectives and a 3-5 year roadmap to serve as a differentiator in winning new issuer processing deals. Understand client business needs and competitive landscape.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in managing product strategies and business plans, managing the prioritization, implementation and tracking of initiatives, performing competitive, customer, and market analysis and examination of new market opportunities
  • Oversee product development lifecycle. Lead teams to ensure the product, enhancement, and technology requests meet the business needs and are rolled-out as designed, while also managing the correction of any defects / issues associated with DPS Risk & Dispute Product.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging, set direction for marketing and sales plans, and develop collateral and sales materials.
  • Create key differentiating fraud and dispute products and services, while enabling Visa Risk & Authentication innovations for all issuer processing clients.
  • Manage the DPS Risk Analytics team that provides actionable insights into fraud trends and enables clients to perform significantly better than industry averages.
  • Provide senior management support to assist with key client, and signature client business sales.

Qualifications

  • 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced technical degree
  • Experience as a senior leader of a product organization, preferably in the technology industry
  • Excellent public speaking skills, cross-functional communication, and emotional intelligence
  • Expert ability to take initiative and build strong and productive relationships across an organization
  • Visa experience or knowledge of the bankcard industry (including payment processing, back office operations and risk/fraud) a plus.

Additional Information

The position starts at $154,500. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus and equity.

Work Hours:

  • Incumbent must make themselves available to support clients/partners in global time zones.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires travel for work at least 25% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
