Description Business Intelligence Developer / Data analyst / Data designer Responsible for the design and development of SAP Business Intelligence (BI/BO 4.0+) data universes and reports leveraging data from multiple sources in support of project management decision-making. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business practices and complex data sets. Utilize database and technical knowledge to analyze and solve problems, and create ad-hoc reports.

  • Person must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
  • No travel is required for this position
  • This position is not a telework position and is in Lakewood, CO
  • Duties may include:
  • Responsible for design and maintenance of business intelligence entities, currently SAP Universes and Web Intelligence Reports
  • Leverage business knowledge of data and data relationships in 6+ major database schemas to design data relationships, and analyze and resolve issues
  • Maintain ongoing comprehensive understanding of organizational business operations, information flow and reporting needs
  • Design custom Oracle database data views, scripts, procedures, SAP report objects
  • Meet with end-users to capture new business requirements for translation into custom universe and report elements
  • Work with database administrators, web developers, and network administrators to ensure access to reports and up-to-date data
  • Troubleshoot data issues using analysis and design of SQL queries utilizing filtering, sorting, grouping, bracketing, comparing, counting, ranking and other methods
  • Develop validation plans to ensure accuracy of data
  • Provide guidance for future BI development
  • Serve on various work teams to provide guidance on data and reporting plans
  • Team lead for Labor Cost Distribution Processing, database side, over four federal lands divisions - merging Delphi accounting system General Ledger (GL) payments with division project labor hours to create project accounting invoices in Delphi system
  • Perform other development tasks as requested eg. Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Adobe LiveCycle Designer Forms, and conversion of raw survey results into reports and metrics
  • Develop and support Oracle Forms and Reports used for administration of leadership team objectives, including Federal employee tracking, employee training, skill and discipline inventories as well as organization and individual information
  • Set user rights, roles and other system settings on server consoles
  • Design BI data universe combining all sets of project management data: fund allocation, internal budgeting and approvals, financial actuals and project controls system data
  • Develop Web Intelligence reports relaying a full representation of project measures across data sets
  • Design additional BI data universes and reports to support additional databases and applications as well as several employee information data sets
  • Primary resource for analyzing and troubleshooting data issues on all databases
  • Provide training on applications and meet with users to observe user's experience and practices
  • Essential Proficiencies, Certifications and/or Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and PLSQL
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Create data tables, views, stored procedures, scripts
  • Create complex data models and relationships
  • Develop strong engineering processes and business knowledge
  • Strong team contributor, working with other developers and clients
  • Work on servers to set up users, roles, other configurations
  • Qualifications DOT Public Trust Clearance Must have a minimum of 6 years of related experience as a database administrator, specializing in supporting Oracle and SQL environment.

    Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
