Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) engineering is a fast-growing organization within Schwab Technology Services and aligned to support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAM), Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS), the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR), and Third-Party Platform teams. This Business Systems Analyst position within WAM Engineering reports to the Director of the Platform Strategy & Analysis team.

What you are good at

The Business Systems Analyst will play a meaningful role working with several scrum teams to build new services and capabilities to centralize data related to Schwab's Wealth Advisory business. You will be working with a team of dedicated technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to contribute by seeing the world "Through Clients' Eyes."

What you have

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in a financial services setting.
  • Working knowledge of web services, data architecture, SQL, Postman, data structures and willingness to be 'hands on' with technical Agile teams
  • Ability to partner with Agile team members to generate requirement stories, UAT test scripts, release notes, and other project artifacts.
  • Basic understanding of financial markets and services (Equity, Fixed Income, Wealth Management, Portfolio Management)
  • A university degree from an academic institution; coursework in information systems, computer science, and / or business administration are a plus
  • Shows a commitment to high ethical standards and integrity and demonstrates this through action
  • Inquisitive, analytical, strategic problem solver and proactive
  • High-energy, positive and ambitious in spirit while goal-oriented
  • Self-starter; takes initiative and can work independently
  • Well-organized and focused with high attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable working with various business and technology domains
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
