In this role, you will be partof a team responsible for the electrification of on-highway vehicles throughembedded software development and functional safety experience.Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms Complex and detailed Embedded code development and relatedactivities, following the V-model, A-spice and Danfoss SW PDPConceives and develops innovative new methods and algorithms to improve motorcontrol functionsFocus and passion on improving safety, efficiency, power density andhardware protection for electric drive systems in electric vehiclesConceives and develops innovative new methods and algorithms to improvefunctional safety functions for the safest possible electric vehicleoperation.Exhibits Proficiency with C-Code, C and Matlab development tools.Works with functional safety engineers to facilitate software for safetyDevelop test case specifications for software requirements and fault injectionPerform bench/HIL tests and system validation of all software requirementsCoordinate engineers working at the software development level within Danfossand suppliersSupport management of software requirements and traceability in a RequirementsManagement systemEnsure Verification and Validation Plans are derived from the SafetyConcept, they are aligned with the Safety Plan and are in compliance withcustomer requirements and industry standardsSoftware development related to Safety and hardware level codeAssists with Producing work products related to software including: RiskAssessment, Safety Concepts, ASIL assignments/decomposition, SafetyRequirements, DFMEA, and Safety Verification and Validation activities(planning and execution)Background & SkillsBS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree (or equivalent)Experience with embedded coding and ability to write and understand C and CStrong knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA)3+ years in software development roleExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and PowerPointCompensation DataHIRING SALARY RANGE:$70,000-$88,000/year.
