Our Direct Client is looking to hire a Lead Architect - WiFi/Wireless Research.
Position : Lead Architect - WiFi/Wireless Research. Full Time Direct Hire Louisville CO The Wireless Research and Development Group is seeking a Lead Architect specializing in Wi-Fi technology to support research and development (R&D) Wi-Fi focused projects. The candidate will work with and lead various Wi-Fi projects, interface with members on Wi-Fi and Wireless related topics, and support involvement in various wireless Standards Organizations. This candidate needs to have a solid understanding of Wi-Fi architecture and applications, networking, and basic Radio Frequency (RF) experience. This candidate needs to have practical knowledge and experience in creating specification, test plans, and test execution. The focus will be on Wi-Fi projects in a 1- to 5-year future timeframe.Duties and responsibilities Conduct research and innovate on new Wi-Fi technology. Conduct research and innovate on new applications of existing Wi-Fi technologies. Develop specifications for new and emerging Wi-Fi technologies. Participate in various Wi-Fi and Wireless Standards Organizations Communicate to senior leaders and customers the technical aspects and value of projects. Work with vendors to understand roadmaps, capabilities, and to secure equipment for testing. Create project plans and descriptions of the projects. Participate in ideation sessions. Work with senior team members to help define innovation and research projects. Ability to work in collaborative environments. Innovate and develop new Wireless testing capabilities for existing or new wireless technologies. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills A full working knowledge of Wi-Fi, the technology, protocols, challenges, and deployment. Able to consume and understand specifications. Understand the needs of the Wi-Fi community. Clear use of the English language both in verbal and written form, including writing of white papers, blogs, specifications, and test plans. Creativity in innovation and work with others in the innovation process. Openness to work within a group of junior and senior technologists. Be able to configure testing scenarios and operate the various tools to conduct testing. Required Experience B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 3-7 years of Wi-Fi experience including internships. Experience with Wi-Fi networks and deployment of same. Experience testing and use of test equipment and tools. Previously worked with Wireless Standards Organizations (i.e., Wi-Fi Alliance, WBA, and IEEE). Been involved working with customers and customer solutions. Contributed to the creation/development of specifications. Atrilogy Solutions Group, Inc.
