The incumbent must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License

with a P2 endorsement.

Upon hire, candidate will, be required to sign a Condition of

Employment stating that required certification will be obtained

within the established timeframe stated therein

A pre-employment physical is required. A DOT physical is

desired.

May occasionally require travel away from the normal duty

station and travel on military and/or commercial aircraft.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: The following summarizes the qualification

not necessarily the length of time.JOB ELEMENTS: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis

of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in

the following areas:

1. Knowledge of operating one or more gasoline, diesel, or electric

powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW of over 32,000 pounds such as

truck tractors with semi or full trailers, heavy load in-line

trucks, or interstate motor coaches.

2. Knowledge of cargo handling and hauling and techniques for

safeguarding and protecting cargo.

3. Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations, practices, and

procedures pertaining to motor vehicle and fork lift operation.

4. Knowledge of operating one or more electric, LPG, or diesel

powered fork lifts.

5. Knowledge of operating buses capable of carrying 16 or more

passengers.

6. Ability to judge road/traffic conditions and read maps to

determine the shortest and safest route; interpret instructions,

specifications, etc. related to motor vehicle, fork lift, and power

take-off unit operation and preventive maintenance; and meet pickup

and delivery deadlines and schedules.Physical Effort: Physical effort is moderate to heavy. Work

requires reaching, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to

operate hand and foot controls. Associated duties require stooping,

bending, and climbing. Lifts and carries objects weighing up to 40

pounds and heavier objects with assistance.Working Conditions: Drivers work mostly outside and operate

vehicles in all kinds of traffic and weather on public roads (or

equivalent), and are exposed to the danger of serious accidents.

Drivers are exposed to dirt, fumes, and to the possibility of cuts,

bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents when loading and

unloading the vehicle. They drive in heavy traffic and at highway

speeds over complicated road and interchange systems.PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for

appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify

the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total

number of hours per week.VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience,

(i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g.,

ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: The VOW Act requires agencies to
