- Physical Security and Risk Management/Safeguarding of Classified Information
- Protects against security vulnerabilities that will exist during the development processes as well as those that will require preventive measures upon completion or delivery of systems and products
- Makes adjustments in physical security systems as needed
- Assist with preparing accreditation packages to include fixed facility checklists, facility and alarm diagrams, inspectable space determinations, and other essential physical security documents for approval-by-approval agencies
- Follows guidance and assist supervisors and managers in the areas of physical, information, personnel and industrial security
- Implements organization's instructions, policies, and procedures to support installation security plans
- Familiar with the classification management program, and supports program managers in developing classified guidance and decisions
- Provides guidance on classification marking, accountability, control, storage, safeguarding, downgrading, declassifying, and destruction procedures for classified materials
- Adheres to and recommends changes to Security Operating Procedures to ensure that critical government resources, personnel and facilities are protected in a dynamic threat environment
- Assist in implementing and administering the Resource Protection Program which includes Control Entry Custodian, Alarm Custodian, Security Access Systems and Open Storage Approval
- Assist managers with the policies, instructions, procedures, control systems and methods for such activities and functions as safeguarding and use; personnel access controls; need to know criteria; physical storage and control; and transmitting, transferring, reproducing, emergency protection and removal, destroying of classified information
- Supports classified VTCs and classified Control Account Custodians; inspect security storage containers to ensure contents are properly controlled and secured
- Monitors controlled area to ensure all personnel, computers, magnetic media are in compliance; ensures physical security requirements for automated data processing and secure communications equipment are met
- Organizational Knowledge - Awareness logistics goals, objectives, services, and programs, as well as the individual requirements in order to meet mission requirements.
- Communication Skills- Strong writing, editing, analytical and team facilitation skills. Excellent and oral interpersonal skills.
- Customer Service Ability - Ability to interact with senior department of defense and other government officials as well as defense contractors at all levels.
- Analysis Awareness - Be responsive to a wide variety of issues, take into account inter relationships between subject areas and customer requirements and recommend alternatives. Abilities:

- Master's degree and/or equivalent relevant experience Skills / Experience Required
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of DoD work experience.
- Experience with program, industrial and physical security requirements
- Experience working Classified computer systems (DISS/JPAS/JWICS/SGN, etc.) Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.
