Steamboat Ski & Resort is looking for a Construction Supervisor for their upcoming construction season. Five years of management/supervisory experience is required.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:

  • Manage the work of 4-5 crewmembers, advise construction manager of changes to plan and consult with the construction manager on solutions to issues that may arise
  • Supervise and coordinate contractors, receive bids, proposals: assist in preparation of estimates as needed
  • Instruct those in his charge on the safe use of tools, monitor the safety of a project, and educate co-workers
  • Responsible for staff evaluation and other merit type documentation
  • Supervise and manage the work of SSRC staff, help manage contract bids and coordinate with subcontractors, order materials and equipment, help develop and maintain project schedule
  • Responsible for tracking invoices, costs and maintaining the budgets
  • Study blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions of structure or form to be constructed.
  • Performing proper operating procedures as required
  • Meet timeline requirements

Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job:

  • Read construction plans
  • Manage mountain projects safely keeping employees, guests, equipment and the environment to SSRC standards, while maintaining project time lines
  • Must meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
  • 5 years of management/supervisory experience required
  • 5 years of construction/construction management experience preferred. A solid understanding of alltypes of carpentry from form, to framing, to finish. Multiple trade experience preferred
  • Be a consistent role model for company’s Service Excellence standards
  • Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers
  • Computer skills a must
  • Must meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current Driver’s license, a successful motor vehicle record background check is required

Miscellaneous information:

  • Position will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
  • Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay range: $19.00 - $34.00 per hour
