Hilltop Pet Clinic is currently seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician for our growing, 3 doctor, companion animal practice in Pueblo West, Colorado. Located next to Lake Pueblo State Park, the area has abundant outdoor activities including boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, rafting, fishing, biking, camping and hiking, and Pueblo Town Center boasts multiple shops and restaurants along its Riverwalk and downtown areas.

Hilltop has been under new management since 2015 and has experienced explosive growth. One of two main clinics in the Pueblo West community, Hilltop serves an amazing client base that love their pets and care about quality care and service. In this close-knit, yet booming community, the clinic has been adding new clients at a rate well above industry standards and will need the right, career minded, hard-working individual to join our team.

Position Requirements:

Certification and/or Licensure

Minimum of 1-3 Years Progressive Experience as a CVT/LVT/RVT

Technical Knowledge and Skill Level in all aspects of veterinary medicine, including:

Surgical - anesthesia, intubation, monitoring, assisting, post-op care

Technical Skills - venipuncture, catheter placement, etc.

Dental - cleaning, charting, polishing, x-rays

X-Ray

Companion Laser Therapy

Safety - adherence to safety policies/procedures and OSHA guidelines

General Emergency Medicine knowledge

Client Education

General Nutrition knowledge

General understanding of commonly used medications

Training - motivational training to clients & staff

Communication - with staff, owners, veterinarians, clients

Cleanliness/Maintenance - facility, surgical instruments, equipment

Aide in inventory management

Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills, including ability to write and edit procedures and policies and to educate both clients and team members

Personal and Professional Commitment to Integrity, Dependability, and Professionalism

Familiar with Practice Management Software (Impromed Infinity preferred)

Computer Literate with Microsoft Office Suite experience

Strong Track Record of Showing Respect to team members, clients, and to the policies, values, mission, vision, goals and practices of the business and of exemplifying the same

Compensation and Benefits:

Hilltop Pet Clinic provides HIGHLY competitive wages and benefits, including:

$15 - $18 an hour, depending on Education, Qualifications and Experience

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Holiday Pay, PTO, CE, Discounted Services, Ongoing Training, Uniform Reimbursement, and No Night or Sunday Shifts, Saturdays on rotating basis!
