The Center for Disabilities is considering individuals who are qualified to become our deaf services case manager. The position requires the individual to have an understanding of and facility in American Sign Language. The candidate whom we hire will need to be flexible in working with individuals in the deaf community not only in Pueblo but throughout our service area which includes 17 counties in SE Colorado. The service that is delivered will entail providing the core services of Advocacy, Independent Living Skills Training, Peer Support and Information and Referral. The position will also entail some grant writing to procure funding for hearing devices for the deaf (or hard of hearing) consumers we serve. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
