We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working on cutting edge technologies (SDN, network analytics ,macro-services based architecture) to deliver excellent customer experience by supporting world class Network Management products for fortune 100 companies. Engineer would be responsible for understanding the customer deployment environment, providing technical resolution of current issues, influencing scrum team andproduct manager towards product quality initiatives. Network Operations Management | Micro Focus About the RoleThe Senior Development Engineer, Network Operations Management is responsible for understanding the customer deployment environment, providing technical resolution of current issues, influencing scrum teams and product manager for product quality initiatives. We're looking for someone who is passionate about working on cutting edge technologies (SDN, network analytics, macro-services based architecture) and providing world class customer service to our Fortune 100 customers around the world.You will:- Troubleshoot and analyze customer issues customer deployment environment and drive high quality resolution of reported current product technical issues.
- Ensure timely release of high quality product patches.
- Communicate high impact product issues and customer experiences to development team in order to improve quality of future product release
- Provides R&D inputs into the product/suite functional roadmap and represents the team in the wider architect community
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 5 + years experience of software development experience including Java, J2EE, JBoss; knowledge of JMS, JMX,Java script, Spring, Hibernate, XML, SQL, Oracle, Perl, VBS, and shell scripting languages is helpful
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills in a fast paced, customer-centric environment
- Experience with network management, network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and networking technologies (SNMP, ICMP, HSRP, VRRP, CDP, LLDP, etc.) is helpful,
- Development and troubleshooting experience with Linux, Windows server operating systems
- Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, micro-services based architecture is also helpful.
