Assistant Project Manager - Construction
Fortius Construction is looking for a new Assistant Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing the oversight of the day to day operations of the construction project as well as managing the project team including sub-contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal employees.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with the development of project budgets and schedules
Adhere to existing forecasted budgets and schedules
Troubleshoot issues, potential issues, challenges, and changes that arise on the project understanding their influence on the project budget, schedule and quality control
Create new processes and streamline existing ones
Find, diagnose, and resolve inefficiencies
Implement company safety policies
Ensure construction site is well organized, safe, and clean
Have a clear understanding of construction documents and document workflow
Complete required tasks associated with resources and materials
Inspect and confirm completion of work
Update construction schedules
Source materials from vendors
Review lumber and supply budgets and adjust as needed
Create a process for tracking inventory
Maintain consistent, clear, and professional communication with clients, vendors, coworkers, local municipalities, etc.
Ability to develop, manage, and complete pre-punch lists well in advance of closings
Complete walk-throughs with home buyers to ensure customer satisfaction
Provide assistance as needed with warranty claim management
Experience
Project Planning: 1 year (Preferred)
Project Coordination: 1 year (Preferred)
Construction: 2 years (Preferred)
Temporary housing may be available if relocating
