Cordy Camp takes care of children ages 5-12, and operates from June 3 to August 23; Monday through Friday. Our camp staff work from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and they generally work between 2 and 4 days per week. Our staff are responsible to keep campers safe while facilitating the day-to-day operations which includes swimming, tennis, golf, fishing, arts, games, and all of the summer fun our Cordillera property has to offer.

Please note: Mandatory training will be held before camp opens on the evenings of May 28th-30th.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Extensive training is provided to our camp counselors at the beginning of the summer season to make sure that each staff member is able to meet the safety and requirements listed below. Our camp counselors are tasked with being safe and responsible, looking out for the well-being of each camper. At the same time, the job is FUN, and encouraging the learning and adventurous spirit of our campers is the key role of the job.

Day-to-day duties include:

- Camper Transportation: Cordy Camp Counselors are responsible for following State transportation guidelines regarding campers. Ensure child-appropriate seats are used and proper safety supplies are on board. Identify and report maintenance items.

- Have a working knowledge of all tasks and programs at Cordy Camp.

- Demonstrate practical knowledge of all emergency procedures.

- Customer Service: Position is responsible for assisting Camp Director on all camper concerns, issues, complaints, suggestions, solutions and communications. Cordy Camp Counselors must provide efficient and sufficient feedback to Camp Director regarding any and all camper related issues.

Qualifications:

Counselors must be at least 16 years of age and demonstrate an ability to work with children. Counselors must have at least three (3) months of full time or equivalent part-time satisfactory and verifiable experience with school-aged children. Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers License with a clean driving record. Must pass a background check. First Aid/CPR/AED certification will be provided as a part of training.
