CTL|Thompson, Inc. is looking for a seasonal ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN to work at our Summit County Office (Breckenridge). This opportunity is enticing because it will include traveling around Summit County (and adjacent counties) in a company truck, working outdoors and meeting contractors and others in the construction trades. This position will primarily consist of working on construction sites. Some time may be spent in our laboratory as well. We are looking for self-motivated, hard-working, ethical individuals that want to be part of our team at CTL. Most of our projects are in Summit and Grand Counties. The position will begin within two weeks. Hours will usually be around 40 hours per week (M-F and sometimes weekends).
Field technicians assist geotechnical engineers in soil, concrete, asphalt and lab testing. Field testing will include compaction testing of soil/asphalt, testing of fresh concrete, construction observation, sampling, among other things. Training is an essential component of this position and individuals with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply. No Experience Necessary. Areas of training include topics relative to your responsibilities, as well as cross training of other areas to promote future growth and development within the organization.
Applicants must have a clean driving record and a high school diploma (or equivalent). Experience, secondary education, BSCE, BSCET, and NICET are a plus. The ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs is required.
