Application Project Manager

Position Summary & Objective

The Application Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, assigning and managing of computer applications program design, development and implementation for the hospitality division of our client.

Essential Functions of the Job

Manage, support, and evolve the hospitality applications portfolio with a focus on the creation of business value by matching business goals with IT solutions.

Manage projects to ensure timeliness, technical direction, and emphasis on customer service.

Develop and maintain a relationship with various business units to ensure their needs and expectations are met.

Responsible for task assignment, issue resolution, customer advocacy, and on-call support of certain applications for the Hospitality Division.

Review and analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

Lead multiple projects and assist with development and configuration activities to ensure specifications and business requirements are met.

Provide orientation and training to power users / end users for modified and new systems.

Additional Job Duties

Develop a deep understanding of the application architecture and workflows that make-up the application. This includes all of the integrations with upstream and downstream systems as relates to data storage, processing and movement.

Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist the IT support services department as business volumes and staff levels demand.

Ensure that your Manager is aware of guest comments and concerns.

Report to shift on time.

Treat others as you would expect to be treated. Be courteous to guests and co-workers.

Comply with all policies and procedures for the client.

Be familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in the event of an emergency and/or security event as directed by management.

Education, License/Certifications & Technical Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration is required.

5+ years of project management experience in an organization comparable to client (in terms of diversity, size, complexity, and scope of operation)

Strong analytical skills, capable of understanding and documenting business processes and functional requirements is required

Foster the adoption of AGILE development, Cloud technology

Familiarity with Data Analysis, Data quality and governance concepts

Experience with project management and resource planning through a project life cycle

Language Skills

Excellent written and spoken English.

Effectively communicate with and exchange information verbally and in writing

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of related work experience is required

Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products is required.

Hands-on experience with hospitality applications/technologies (property management systems, point of sale systems) is preferred.

Integration of different data sources, flat file or xml data files and relational databases with other production systems is preferred.
