This position is to support Lockheed Martin (LM) Denver/Waterton, Colorado, facility. LM is the prime development contractor for the Next Gen OPIR GEO program (NGG). Customer is Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Space and Missiles Center (SMC) / Development Corp Next Gen Division (DCN) at LAAF Job Description The selected candidate will monitor Prime Development Contractor production of spacecraft hardware, build-up of spacecraft, and integration & test of the space vehicle. The NGG development program is managed out of Lockheed Martin's Sunnyvale, CA facility (program management, space management, SEIT, space systems engineering and engineering management are planned to stay in Sunnyvale). Denver OL team will work with the Sunnyvale Operating Location staff to coordinate activities. Some immediate activities at the Denver/Waterton facility are:- Card and electronic box assembly
- Spacecraft hardware - COMM, C&DH, EPS, Structure, Propulsion core
- Spacecraft core and cruciform build up
- Spacecraft IRAD software & qualification
- Quality assurance (on all)
- Revie Attend and participate in Manufacturing Center (MC) daily standup meetings, weekly program reviews, weekly IPT meetings, recurring facility walkthroughs, readiness reviews, etc - some of these may be call-ins as the Denver meetings involve multiple programs (other than SBIRS) and in-room attendance is limited
- Review manufacturing build documentation and discrepancy notices - QA lead will assist in identification and with getting access to LM on-line systems (such as SAP and EPDM)
- Witness key manufacturing and test activities - QA lead will help identify along with DCMA (weekly coordination meetings are held with Sunnyvale OL, Sunnyvale/Denver DCMA)

- The candidate will monitor spacecraft hardware activities and perform quality assurance surveillance. . The candidate will attend LM status meetings, monitor progress of hardware against the plan (cost & schedule), report to DCN Government and Aerospace team members (likely in LA), work with local DCMA staff (Sunnyvale OL coordinates with Denver and Sunnyvale DCMA), participate in weekly OL staff meetings with Sunnyvale and weekly Government staff meetings (LAAFB). Some travel is required to LAAFB, Sunnyvale or LM Subcontractor sites Specifics on quality assurance activities:

- Bachelors (STEM) and nine (9) years or more of related experience -OR- Masters and seven (7) years or more of related experience -OR- PhD or JD and four (4) years or more of related experience
- Must have a Top Secret Clarence
- Experience in working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Extensive experience in a quality assurance environment require
- High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment
- Ability to work proactively, independently as a member of a highly effective technical team while developing approaches to solutions
