Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Software Development Analyst C2BMC Exercises and Wargames Integrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

Selectee will become an Exercise Team Integrator within the multi-contractor Integration and Test (I&T) Functional Area of the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) National Team (NT). The Integrator will lead exercise I&T efforts, and work with other MDA organizations, to integrate C2BMC, BCM, BOA and FOXSIM into exercises, characterize C2BMC performance and provide a venue for Warfighter (WF) Tactics Techniques Procedures (TTP) development in multi-system BMD System (BMDS) tests and exercises. External organizations with which the Integrator generally interacts include: other NT Functional Areas; NT Government customer (BCD and BCO); MDA Elements (MDA Government Leads for DTW and DDW, DTW Contractor Personnel (Event Mission Lead, Mission Engineers, Integrators), AB, SN, TH, LPTO Personnel); the Joint Analysis Team (JAT); NATO BMD personnel; and, Multinational WF personnel.

Essential Functions:
  • The Integrator will use System Engineering processes for the following:
    • Test/exercise event planning and plan documentation; development of detailed test/exercise procedures
    • Test/exercise resource integration
    • Test/exercise execution; near-real-time to real-time analysis of observed performance
    • Oversight of in-depth analysis of test/exercise results
    • Reporting of test/exercise results orally and in writing to a variety of audiences (up to and including Program Manager/SES and Flag/General Officer levels).
  • Responsibilities as part of interacting with non-I&T organizations include, but are not limited to, the following for each event:
    • Working with other NT OPRs to ensure testability of C2BMC test/exercise objectives and the C2BMC components of test/exercise architectures
    • Working with the Mission Lead and/or Mission Engineer (DTW) to represent C2BMC in MDA/DT event planning and test/exercise integration and execution
    • Ensuring proper C2BMC participation in trans-/post event efforts
    • Contributing to MDA/DT reporting of BMDS test/exercise results.
  • Non-standard work hours are highly likely.
Basic Qualifications:

If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.
  • 9 Years with Bachelor's degree in a related field; 13 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
  • Candidate must have familiarity with DoD System Engineering processes as they apply to system testing, to include software test methodologies and terminology along with associated test tools
  • Candidate must have developed software/hardware system test or exercise plans alone and/or as part of a small team, using overall and event-specific program objectives, functional/performance requirements, and planned technical capabilities.
  • Led/overseen the integration of a system under test and associated resources into a variety of test environments.
  • Executed planned test procedures, using GUIs and Linux/Windows commands
  • Evaluated/analyzed test or exercise results in order to characterize system performance
  • Presented test or exercise results orally and/or in written format.
  • Ability to execute commands and write test execution/analysis scripts in Linux and other languages.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals required.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows Operating Systems administration
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge with testing of Missile Defense Agency elements/components is highly desirable.
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: operational ballistic missile defense (BMD) systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot, AN/TPY-2, GMD, THAAD); developmental BMD systems; International BMD systems (e.g., AWS, NATO ACCS, DEU Patriots, SAMPT, DEU Frigates); operational/simulation message formats (e.g., XML, JREAP-C/TADIL-J (LINK16), VMF-11, BXF/S, DIS) and associated log files.
  • Ability to create Linux scripts.
  • Knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense System and its elements is highly desired.
  • Candidate holding a TS or TS/SCI a plus.

Salary Range: $117,900 USD - $176,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
