Job Description

SNI Technology's client is immediately seeking to hire a Systems Administrator for an exciting full-time, direct-hire opportunity located in Broomfield, CO.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the implementation, monitoring and upgrading of system software and hardware both on prem and in partner cloud systems. Acts as an escalation point for all systems related issues. Recommends infrastructure upgrades as it relates to normal system lifecycles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manages infrastructure services including cloud, edge, and local based virtualization technologies such as VMware, Azure and AWS components.
  • Implements, configures, updates, and supports system level hardware including physical servers, PC's, storage, backup hardware and related datacenter equipment.
  • Is familiar with and manages modern application lifecycles such as containerization, CI/CD, container hardening, security, and redundancy.
  • Implements, manages, configures, updates, troubleshoots, deploys, and supports enterprise software such as O365, Exchange, Teams and SQL.
  • Able to produce capacity management models for both on premises and cloud-based deployments.
  • Able to fully support certificate services including enterprise PKI tools, management, and implementation.
  • Able to automate routine processes using scripting and industry standard tools such as Puppet, Ansible, PowerShell or similar.
  • Deploys all systems software and updates using industry standard tools and resources.
  • Able to plan and execute all levels of deployments of systems and devices from start to finish.
  • Maintains enterprise level backups of all systems and infrastructure components across all platforms both on premise and cloud hosted to support credit union needs.
  • Assists users in accessing, installing, and securing network resources. Provide phone, e-mail and in-person support and training to end users ensuring their needs are met as an escalation point.
  • Inform management of area activities. Notify supervisor of system malfunctions and operating problems that could result in end user impact.
  • Maintains and monitors system and network security, availability and documentation based on established policy and industry standard guidelines.
  • Keep availability of computer systems within the accepted range and implement approved changes that will benefit the department and Credit Union.
  • Follows enterprise standards for deployments, implementations and changes based on established industry standard best practices.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Storage Systems, Authentication Systems, Identity Access Management, Windows and Linux required.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and standards such as NIST, CIS, FFIEC are preferred.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/ IP, IP address provisioning and management, routing, switching and firewalls.
  • Understanding of Credit Union operations and output requirements are preferred.
  • Industry standard certifications such as MCSE, AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent are preferred.

Experience Required:
  • 3+ years related experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projects.
  • Able to communicate complex information clearly with all levels of staff and management organization wide.
  • Good process orientation and ability to clarify objectives, evaluate options, consider implications, and assess risks.
  • Superior analytical, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to participate in an 24x7x365 on call rotation as well as work after hours, as necessary.
  • Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others.
  • Honesty, integrity, and transparency are required at all times.
  • Ability to follow policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is in the range of $80K to $110K annually + bonus + benefits. Please note your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities including work experience - talk with your recruiter to learn more.
