TheNursing Supervisorserves as the shift leader for the entire facility representing administration and department leadership in their absence. They are a resource person for immediate problem solving for the hospital by enhancing communication and coordination of information and resources among all departments. The Nursing Supervisor acts to communicate support and advance the goals and objectives of the organization, service areas and all departments. The Nursing Supervisor demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to support safe patient care, which includes staffing. BSN or BS in health care related field preferred. Licensure/Certification

Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado (May work with a current RN compact license from another state for the 1st90 days of employment).

BCLS certification.

ACLS certification.Experience

Three (3) or more years of acute care experience preferred

Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the practice of nursing process.

Demonstrates the ability to plan and provide for delivery of nursing services.

Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructive relationships in dealing with them.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Participates in counseling and guidance of personnel.

Acts as a mediator between patient care and administration.

Ability to assume leadership role with the health team in planning and delivery of patient care.
