Performs duties of a skilled hydroelectric powerplant electrician: install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair supporting facility structures and equipment, e.g., generators, exciters, governor controls, transformers, and power circuit breakers.- Communicates information to team members.- Monitors and performs electrical maintenance; applies electrical theory for hydroelectric pump(s) and/or generating powerplant(s).- Interprets and applies electrical diagrams, schematics, standard operating procedures, and manufacturer's instructions.- Applies and implements the National Electric Code and other applicable safety standards in a working environment.

Ability to do the work of Journey Level power system Electrician without more than normal supervision. (Screen-out)2. Ability to maintain, install, repair and troubleshoot powerplant and mobile equipment.3. Knowledge of electrical equipment theory/knowledge of electrical circuitry.4. Ability to use and maintain various machines, equipment, power and hand tools associated with the Journey Level Electrician trade.5. Knowledge of safe clearance procedures and safety standards.6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturer's instructions.EducationAdditional Information-Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval.-Work schedule: Four 10-hour days, Mon-Thur 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.-At Government expense, the applicant selected will be required to complete and successfully pass a pre-employment physical.-Operation of a government vehicle is required; therefore, a valid state driver's license is required. Driving record will be verified prior to final selection.-This position has been designated as a Non-Sensitive, (Low Risk) position. This requires a Tier 1 background investigation. You must successfully obtain and maintain this investigation level as a condition of employment.
