Maxar is currently seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team in Westminster, CO. In this role, you will create, implement, and support Platform Services as part of our Cloud PaaS team. This position is focused on supporting on-premise infrastructure IT technologies, investing in hybrid and cloud based operating models to better serve the needs of our partners. - Work as part of an Agile team by:
- Participating in Agile ceremonies
- Using Agile management tools to track work.
- Collaborating with other Agile teams to achieve objectives
- In addition to development work:
- Proactively responding to break/fix needs
- Participating in an on-call rotation
- Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in related field. Four additional years of work experience may be substituted for a degree
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- 5+ years performing Linux system administration duties
- 3+ years working with AWS
- 2+ years working with Kubernetes
- 1+ year working with ElasticSearch
- 1+ year working on a team practicing Scaled Agile for Enterprise (SAFe)
- Established competency with Infrastructure as Code development tools (ex. Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Established competency with code repositories (ex. Git or SVN)
- Established competency with Bash and Python scripting
- Understanding of Kubernetes deployment, administration, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking (focus on routing)
- Understanding of network security (focus on firewalls, IAM, and best practices)
- AWS or Kubernetes certification
- CISSP (or equivalent) certification
