Job Description

The Strategic Partnership Group (a division of Epsilon) is looking for someone who is excited about technology and enjoys being an integral part of a growing team. The online behavioral targeting business is burgeoning at Epsilon, and we're looking for someone that wants to get in early on a big opportunity.

We rely on our Data Programmers to run and manage all of our online products. The Strategic Partnerships Group wants people who strive to deliver the best results for our internal and external clients. The primary responsibility is to run and manage applications in support of clients and partners. We need people committed to providing high quality services and results

Essential Job Responsibilities

The Data Programmer position will focus on running and supporting all client and partner applications. You will act as a production support and liaison between our internal client facing teams and engineering. The responsibilities for this position include:
  • Run and manage applications in support of clients and partners
  • Configure application parameters and job scheduling
  • Validate results and assure quality of deliverables to client/partner teams
  • Provide client/partner deliverables within the service level agreement timeframe
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues
  • Engage in external client facing (minimal)
  • Engage in operational improvements and engineering enhancements
  • Conduct user acceptance testing for new application functionality
  • Maintain an organized environment for all jobs and results
  • Provide a detailed and up to date status of jobs to stakeholders
  • Document processes.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years experience building, configuring and administering CentOS and/or RedHat Enterprise Linux in an enterprise environment.
  • Excellent Linux command line skills.
  • Experience in automating tasks via interpreted languages such as Python, Perl or Ruby.
  • Working knowledge of the GIT version control system.
  • Automation and configuration experience (Puppet, Ansible, Salt, etc).
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills through resolution; understanding problem from the network, OS, and application levels.
  • Service delivery in a high-volume environment with competing priorities.
  • Independent worker, can work on projects or issues with little to no direction from management.
  • Excellent organization skills, project tracking abilities, communications skills, and time management skills.
  • Agile experience a plus (Kanban, Scrum, etc)

Salary: $46,000 - $55,000
