We’re looking for a seasoned
Director of Engineering to help us grow and manage a best-in-class team of engineers. This senior position will lead an engineering team to build innovative and secure data solutions for direct mail, social media, search, and digital marketing within a Big Data environment. In this role, you will partner with product management and other stakeholders to define requirements and to then align engineering resources to exceed expectations. - Foster an agile culture and implement DevOps principals
- Partner with stakeholders to align resources to priorities and ensure desired outcomes
- Recruit, retain and inspire multiple software engineering teams
- Provide career guidance and development plan for the engineering staff
- Communicate and collaborate with senior leadership
- Manage a team of 10-20 people with 8 or 9 individuals directly reporting into you
- Passionate about managing and inspiring engineers.
- Encourages technical excellence in yourself and others
- Fosters a supportive, collaborative work environment
- Detailed oriented, able to multitask and manage multiple projects.
- Wants to grow a career with a great company
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive software development experience
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
- Experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or C
- Experience with Oracle or Relational Databases
- Experience with Agile and DevOps principals preferred
- Familiarity with Oracle, Hadoop, HBase and Spark is a plus
- Experience with Cloud (AWS), Machine Learning and Marketing is a huge plus
