Title: Python DeveloperLocation: RemoteType: ContractSummary:Working with spacecraft engineering and dev team to write common code for next gen command control, supporting telemetry analysis tool that spacecraft team develops directly supporting legion or legion readiness foundational aspect of SW Dev for readiness. Project Overview:In this role, you will develop, test and support spacecraft command procedures for our fleet of earth imaging spacecraft. You will work on an Agile Scrum team. What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):
- Follow Agile processes and work with a small group of scrum team software engineers to design and develop operational code and the automated tests that run in a CI/CD pipeline for deployments into the production environment.
- Work with the Product Owner / Systems Engineer to define the code flows, interfaces and data stores.
- Collaborate with spacecraft engineers to development spacecraft command procedures for use in our next generation command and control software.
- With support of DevOps engineers, troubleshoot and fix operations issues with the software.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related field. Four years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- Minimum of 2 years of software development
- Expertise in Unix and Python scripting language for spacecraft command procedures
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software systems
- Demonstrated ability to document technical information
- Experience with aerospace and/or satellite ground systems
- Troubleshooting experience for AWS-based systems
- Expertise with the following technologies: REST application interfaces, PaaS, Elasticsearch/Elk/Kibana, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Git, PostgreSQL/Aurora, RabbitMQ, Redis
- Experience with test automation languages/frameworks: Cucumber, Gherkin, Behave
- Experience working on an Agile Scrum dev/test/support team
- Experience with Angular
- Experience with ops support of a complex UNIX-based system
