Maxar, the leading provider of Earth imagery products, is seeking a software quality assurance engineer with experience in both manual and automated testing. We are a dedicated group of testers based in Westminster, CO and we are looking for someone who is both passionate about testing software and enjoys being part of a collaborative environment. The preferred candidate is based in/near Westminster, CO but we will consider a strong remote candidate within the United States.Your Project: We test the web interface for viewing, analyzing, and downloading satellite imagery and analytics. You will be embedded on a software development team and use Agile practices to create manual tests and run them against the application under test, as well as collaborate with automation engineers to create automation based on the manual tests.What you'll do day to day with your colleagues:- Participate in Daily standup meetings on a software development team
- Collaborate with your developer team to create test cases for user stories
- Run manual test cases for functional testing
- Collaborate with test automation engineers to create automated tests
- Create defects and iterate with developers on the fixes
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- At least 2 years experience as a software test engineer (manual or automation)
- Experience with some of the following test tools: Jira, TestRail, JMeter, Postman
- Experience with some of the following languages/frameworks: JavaScript, Java, Selenium, RESTful APIs,
- Agile/Scrum/Kanban
- Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
- Cucumber/Gherkin
- Load and Performance Testing
- Restful APIs
