Fabricate highly reliable aerospace PWB (PCB) assemblies for Flight and non-Flight applications.

Operate equipment including but not limited to pick and place, through hole, screen printing, selective soldering, AOI, SPI and PWB cleaning.

Pre form and lead form components using both automated and manual equipment.

Assist with maintenance on automated equipment when required

Hand solder components onto PWBs.

Perform other duties assisting with PWB assembly as required by management.

Use automated rework station for component placement and removal.

Audit/verify kits on manufacturing floor for accuracy and completeness.

Recommend design changes to improve manufacturability.

Recommend and implement new manufacturing processes/techniques to improve yields and reduce build times.

Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Perform other duties as necessary.

What you’ll need:

High School diploma or equivalent plus completion of at least 50% of the requirements towards completion of an electronic, mechanical or relative science technical program.

Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

Must be a self-starter, ambitious and a conscientious individual.

A mechanical aptitude, with good dexterity and hand/eye coordination.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Exposure to manual soldering is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

This role is part time, 15-25 hours per week flexible within the core hours of 8:00am—4:00pm to support continuing with a concurrent technical education program.

Work is performed in an office, clean room, laboratory, manufacturing floor or machine shop environment.

May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required

Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
