The Raster Product Innovation Delivery (RaPID) team at Maxar is looking for a Product Owner (PO) who will be a product domain expert, customer advocate, and agent to collaboratively create foundational ground system capabilities. This position is based in Westminster, CO.Life with UsYour Project: The RaPID PO is a product subject matter expert, advocate for the customer and business, and effective communicator who works with teams to create products which solve globally important problems. Day to day, RaPID POs will collaborate with subset of agile teams and stakeholders through all aspects of the product development lifecycle, including stakeholder needs analysis, delivery, product demonstrations, backlog refinement and analysis, release planning, sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, iteration reviews and retrospectives.Your Career: We're very serious about professional development and continuing education at Maxar. You will work with your manager to set goals and design a development plan to advance your career.Your Responsibilities:- Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, other POs, and engineers during product planning and delivery
- Maintain transparency into the team's work and team flow
- Contribute to meetings and ceremonies including, daily standup, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives
- Isolation of root problems from exposed symptoms and aid in resolutions
- Engage multiple roles and stakeholders in critical discussion, complex new product development discovery, and building consensus
- Support product owners to maximize value delivery and meet objectives
- Facilitate and support continuous improvement within the team
- Help identify and mitigate dependency risks in development
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on deliverables that affect team goals
- Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain US Government Secret security clearance or higher level
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a relevant field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 5 or more years of professional experience with 3 years of relevant experience in a software product development organization and 2 yrs experience with Scrum teams. (A Master's degree may count as 2 years of experience)
- Demonstrated experience using OKRs, and KPIs to create successful products
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Product Development/Management certification
- 6 months working in a SAFe enterprise
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while owning multiple priorities
- Ability to translate complex information into actionable requirements
- Strong problem solver with sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing
- Full knowledge of modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development)
- Experience using native AWS services balance scale, cost and efficiency
- Remote sensing training or experience
- Knowledge of geospatial image processing technology
- Web services and Service Oriented Architecture development/design experience
