Ticaboo Management, which operates Ticaboo Lodge/restaurant, Ticaboo Basecamp and Hite Adventure Outpost, and Offshore Marina is seeking an experienced Book Keeper or Accountant for our operations here.
Our setting and business are very complex, unique, and remote and we seek someone with the balance of experience and gusto for living and working in a beautiful and remote place where its a professional and personal fit.
Professionally, the job description and duties are listed below, with an overview that helping run our operations is much like you would be running your own business, in a cooperative effort with the President and GM who work and live onsite, and the owners who are absentee and do not work and live here with us. The GM and President have strong accounting and financial knowledge, and you would work with them to operate/report revenue and cost centers in the accounting realm. Between a complete hospitality business, retail operations and a multi-faceted Marine Services operation that is always busy and growing, the operations are in depth and require good knowledge and experience running and reporting the financial end of a business.
Personally, because we are very remote, some of the qualities for a good fit here are youre adventurous and enjoy the outdoors and have a bit of grit of living and working in the high desert, running the operations we do. We are truly in a location and business that is few and far between anywhere across the US. You must be a determined, strong willed, self-directive person who can handle business and then get out and enjoy what the surrounding millions of acres has to offer.

Compensation is DOE, and is a salaried role, with an attractive housing accommodation included in the compensation.
Accountant:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Property Accountant Book Keeper for Ticaboo and Offshore Marina, organizes, facilitates and maintains all property accounting functions of Accounts receivable & payable, and revenue and expense accounts utilizing GAAP standards. Position also creates, daily/weekly/monthly cost analysis reports in the form of daily sales, weekly operating, and monthly/yearly P&L statements. Assists in leadership and management of the property as a member of the executive committee.

CPA Certification (or equivalent verifiable experience) preferred and applied knowledge of GAAP standards
Strong Microsoft office software skills, spreadsheet skills
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks accounting system
Strong analytical and financial skills in revenue generation and cost control
Able to handle diverse demands of a unique remote business and seasonal work force
Capable leader and director for tasks and projects assigned by the General Manager
Able to work from a to do list and accomplish tasks in a timely accurate manner
Ability to Multi task and complete additional financial projects as assigned by the board
Prior experience in implementing accounting systems and controls for hotels, food and beverage, retail, and service preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Exhibits daily leadership in interactions with vendors, clients and staff
Essential Functions:
Works on daily financial tasks as directed by the board
Produces accurate accounting reports and entries
Acts as property controller
Exhibits leadership for the property in conjunction with the executive committee
Ensures AR and AP accounts are organized and paid/collected on time
Ensures regular inventories and receivable SOPs are followed and audited
Ensures working culture practices our values, and protects company property and assets
Produces financials applicable to state and federal tax requirements
Function in a remote business and living environment with limited resources
Interacts with customers and employees in a professional manner
Organizes and participates in weekly financial review and prepares reports
Participates in analyzing labor and producing labor cost reports
