Monte Vista School District is accepting applications for an anticipated opening for an 8th Grade Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for the 2019-20 school year. This position will focus upon reading and writing instruction while working in a close collaborative relationship with the 6th and 7th grade ELA team.
Desired qualifications and experience include:
Current Colorado Teaching License (either elementary or secondary certifications are acceptable)
Knowledge of best practices in research based writing and reading instruction.
Experience teaching students of varying abilities
Collaborative approach to lesson design and problem solving
Ability to work well with others
Self-motivated
Organized, yet flexible
Ability and proven success in forming positive relationships with at risk youth is paramount.
