Job Title: Registered Medical Assistant / Circulator
The applicant must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position requires a medical background with strong verbal communication and good telephone and computer skills. Attention to detail is required as well as accuracy in spelling and grammar.
Applicant will regularly perform the following duties: Greet and room patients, accurately document patient medical history and medications, record pertinent medical information in the patients electronic medical record, administers the appropriate treatment under the direction of the physician or other medical provider staff, prepare the patient for an exam, explain medical procedures, collect lab specimens, apply surgical dressings, change bandages, remove sutures, give injections, sterilize medical instruments, and do laundry. Applicant will be required to comply with HIPAA, OSHA and CLIA policies while performing all duties, and have flexibility to work in all areas of the back office.
