Summit Services Group is a highly focused environmental services firm providing stormwater compliance inspections, SPCC inspections and water and soil sampling services to our valued clients. We are hiring qualified Compliance Inspectors to serve the Western Colorado area. Our inspectors serve clients in the energy and construction industries by performing compliance inspections at active projects. The job requires significant scheduling flexibility since some of the inspections are on a recurring schedule and others are triggered by client requests. Candidates should be prepared for an "all hands on deck" mindset as you work with the rest of the team to respond to time critical events.
Job responsibilities include performing inspections, creating reports, updating site maps, communicating findings to our clients, coordinating responses with our clients and other contractors, and managing project records. Priority skills include an effective and positive communication style, attention to detail, mobile computing experience, and familiarity with common software packages. We are looking for people of high integrity who can consistently deliver professional results in a timely manner.
The position requires two or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: BMP installation, site inspection, soil sampling, water sampling, SPCC inspections, or SWMP and SWPPP design. Our inspectors deliver field services and rarely see the inside of an office, so past experience demonstrating the ability to work with minimal supervision is preferred.
Additionally, we require an inspection certification. Preferred certifications are CPESC, CESSWI, TECS and CISEC. If you do not have these certifications, but may be eligible to test for them, we may waive the certification requirement. A clean MVR is required and will be verified as a condition of employment. Oil and Gas experience a plus. We are a drug free company and pre-employment testing is required for all positions within Summit.
Compensation is $30K to $40K annually, depending on experience. Currently looking for both FT and PT employees. Our projects are located from Grand Junction to Glenwood Springs, as well as north and south of the I-70 corridor. Our inspectors are located all throughout this work area and travel from their homes to our projects in company vehicles, using company provided equipment.
