A growing construction company in Durango, is looking for a carpenter or laborer / apprentice with some experience in all phases of home building and remodeling. I am looking for a clean cut, responsible and professional individual to assist with all phases of home building work including but not limited to:
Framing
Siding
Door and window installation
Drywall
Painting
plumbing
Tile
Flooring
Trim carpentry
Masonry
I am willing to hire and train the right person who is motivated to learn and willing to work hard.
The focus of my business is customer service, communication, attention to detail and quality workmanship. As a small town contractor in a market flooded with competitors, the success of my business depends entirely on my reputation. Employees and subcontractors are required to be clean, mature, responsible professionals that can communicate, solve problems and earn the trust and confidence of homeowners.
Applicants must posses a valid drivers license, a reliable vehicle (preferably a truck) and a working cell phone. Basic hand tools such as tool belt, tape, hammer, speed square etc are a plus. The more tools you have, the more independent you can be, and the more I can pay you. High school diploma or college degree is a must.
Pay starts at $15/hr for a laborer with limited knowledge or experience. Pay can be up to $30/hr for a more experienced "project manager" who can work on their own, has their own tools and is willing to take on more responsibilities (materials pickup, sub coordination etc.)
Do not apply if you need to smoke or chew all day while you work.
Do not apply if you don't want to work at least 7-8 hrs/day, 5 days a week. I try not to work weekends but sometimes it happens.
I am looking to hire someone who currently lives in Durango or any of the surrounding communities. All applications will be considered but preference will be given to those individuals who already live and /or work in this part of Colorado.
I am willing to hire W2 employees or 1099 subcontractors. Subcontractors must have their own general liability insurance policy.
