AWS Developer - CONTRACT TO HIRE100% REMOTE / EAST COAST HOURSThe AWS Software Engineer will develop cloud native applications to solve business and technical requirements across web and mobile channels. The role will support a redesign and shift of an application from on-prem to cloud architecture. The ideal candidate must be passionate about technology, love to write code and solve problems. The individual should be self-motivated quick learner who loves to learn and share knowledge. The individual should take full ownership and accountability for their work.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain high quality digital software for applications that provide self-service capabilities to our customers
- Extend and develop cloud native frameworks that are reusable and scalable
- Write clean, secure, efficient and modular code
- Simplify and improve existing application code ensuring high unit test coverage
- Identify potential problems and resolve platform bottlenecks
- Collaborate with team members, product owners, user experience team, and other engineers to define, design, and publish new features
- Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards
- Proficiency with Typescript, Node, SpringBoot, Kotlin
- Experience with following AWS services: Lambda, KMS, Cloudfront, ElasticCache, DynamoDB
- Experience with AWS EKS, or equivalent solutions (K8s, Docker, Openshift)
- Good understanding of No-SQL databases
- Extensive experience with public APIs and multi-modal services
- Experience with Single Page Application platforms and reusable frameworks
- Experience with web application security practices
- Proven experience with building modular and scalable systems
- Experience with modular architecture
- Experience with performance tuning
- Experience with continuous integration
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Code model and use of Terraform
