Application Developer (C# / VB.NET Programmer) - REMOTE Job Type : Full-Time / Direct Hire Location : Company HQ in Cheshire, CT - However, the Position will be FULLREMOTE About our Client: Our client is one of America's leading construction companies, specializing in large, complex civil infrastructure. Right now, our client isseeking a strong Application Developer to support technology-related production efforts. Experience/Expertise: We are looking for somebody with solid experience in VB .NET or C# programming. Ideally, we'd like to identify someone with strong SQL skillset(s) (ie. T-SQL, PL/SQL) and someone who has experience working with SQL Server, Oracle DBs and who is well adept in working with RESTful APIs Responsibilities and Job Duties -Work closely with stakeholders when evaluating requests to understand business requirements, justification, and objectives-Propose solutions leveraging existing technology stack or relevant industry-standard technology-Design, build and test solutions in conjunction with 3rd party vendors as necessary-Support end-user business testing and incorporate feedback into subsequent releases-Document functional and technical design along with 'As Is' and 'To Be' process flows-Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management process to promote changes through environments to production-Maintain and help optimize existing applications, processes, systems, and interfaces-Troubleshoot production issues and resolve in coordination with end-users and other relevant parties. Qualifications -Bachelor's degree-Computer Science or related, plus 2+ years development experience-Solid experience in VB .NET or C# programmingStrong SQL skillset (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and experience working with SQL Server, Oracle DBs -Experience working with RESTful APIs-Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a changing environmentBe a part of the ConsultNet difference.
