Job Description
Title: Manager VMware EngineeringLocation: Danbury, CT (Hybrid)Type: Direct PlacementJob Description:Perform activities related to the design, build, implementation, and support of the VMware technology.The Senior VMware Engineer will also provide technical leadership for the server engineering team and will contribute to the employee review process. The Server Engineer will participate in the support of all IT infrastructure i.e., PCs, laptops, servers, Operating systems, AD, storage facilities, DR, networking, etc.Qualifications and Experience- Have management experience
- A minimum of five years of direct appropriate work experience, or an appropriate combination of education, certification, and experience in a related field from an accredited institution.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
- Experience with servers and storage systems
- Proficiency in VMware associated programs and coding languages, such as Windows Server, MS IIS, SAN architecture, WebSphere, Citrix, Python, and C++.
- Extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware ESX and related technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude.
- Great organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to resolve urgent VMware environment problems outside of business hours.
- Strong server design with disaster recovery and business continuity knowledge.
- Travel between all sites is a requirement of the job.
- Primary on-call rotation for 24x7/365 support of the system is required.
- Considerable demand for analyzing, perception/comprehension, judgment, complex reading and writing, memorization, and decision-making.
- MCSE, Formal Technical training on MS SQL, MS Exchange, VMware, and SAN Technologies
