Solidus is searching for an Electrical Systems Engineer.

Successful candidate will work with the technical team to establish robust and executable program plans including the identification of tasks, trade studies, modelling and analyses, and risk and opportunity identification and management.

Requirements - ship and the ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance; Active Secret preferred - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field - Minimum 8 years' relevant experience

Required Experience - Systems engineering of complex systems throughout the product lifecycle - FPGAs and/or embedded processors - Analog electrical considerations - Electrical considerations for thermal vacuum space environments - LVDT, RVDTs, and strain gauges (ot other precision feedback systems) - Aerospace protocols (MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, Ethernet, and SpaceWire) - Create and maintain electrical interface control documentation - Troubleshooting and root cause analysis - Write requirements specifications, verification matrices, verification plans, and verification reports - IBM Rational DOORS or other requirements management systems - Program planning - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability and technical confidence to brief a variety of internal and external customers

Additionally Desired - Master's Degree - Architecture, design, and verification for space-based electronics - Knowledge of optical systems for visible through long wave infrared applications - Control theory with open and closed-loop feedback - Firmware and Software Dev: VHDL, C, C, Python, MatLab - Parts, materials, and processes for space environments - Knowledge of EO/IR systems including modeling and analysis - CONOPS development - Technical leadership of cross-functional/discipline teams

Responsibilities: - Develop and guide verification - Prepare sell-off materials to demonstrate compliance - Evaluate the work and results from the technical team and provide feedback and direction - Communicate and collaborate with the program office, functional management, and technical team members to ensure proper program execution and early issue and risk identification
