RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Danbury, CT that is seeking a Test Engineer.

Summary:The Test Engineer will be involved with the design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services. This role will write test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluate the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications. The Test Engineer will also debug test hardware and software.

Duties of the Test Engineer include: Involved with the design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services Write test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluate the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications Debug test hardware and software Support engineering with a variety of moderately complex engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks Assist in design, build and/or procurement of new or improved machines, tools, fixtures and material handling equipment and coordinating the implementation Responsible for completing process documentation, bill of materials, route sheets, etc. Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions, and to support the design for manufacture Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified electrical and/or mechanical components or assemblies for products Set up and conduct tests of units and components Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjust equipment to bring within specifications Record these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods Provide and develop documentation to maintain equipment Assist in the development of plant layouts, manufacturing methods and process improvements

REQUIREMENTS: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Competent technical expertise Able to work independently on a weekly basis Comfortable with the shop/laboratory and equipment
