Here are the details: Position: Senior Process Engineer Location: Danbury, CT Rate: Negotiable based on experience Duration: Permanent Position Description: Our client is seeking a Senior R&D Process Engineer to join the Advanced Deposition Materials (ADM) team at their Danbury, CT Research and Development center. This individual will be primarily responsible for depositing thin films and evaluating precursor performance. In this role you will:

  • Deposit thin-films by CVD, ALD or PEALD and analyze the film properties;
  • Compile, analyze, document, and present collected data internally and to customers
  • Assist in the filing of resulting intellectual property
  • Work as part of a technical team with milestones and deadlines
  • Maintain and repair CVD/ALD deposition equipment
  • Proactively maintain a safe lab area.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate
  • Advanced degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics with 5-10 years of experience in thin-film deposition processes required
  • Experience running and maintaining vacuum deposition equipment required
  • Experience with film analytical measurements (Ellipsometry, XRF, 4pp, XRR, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with chemical vapor analytical methods (FTIR, RGA/MS, TGA, vapor pressure) a plus
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Minitab or other statistical analysis applications is required
  • Experience with simulation and modeling is a plus
  • Proactive safety mindset and meticulous attention to safety procedures required
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A self-starter who can work independently and in a team.

  • The identification of high value ALD/CVD precursors, precursor delivery and process solutions:
  • While maintaining safety in chemical handling and all other activities
  • With accountability for actions, results and timelines
  • While building strong relationships with the ADM team and customers
  • While continuously improving our R&D methodologies, processes and equipment
