Interns from our Engineering organization provide a key pool of talent for the Engineering Development Program (EDP). The EDP is a full-time, multiyear rotational program for new college hires that has been implemented to accelerate technical capability through substantive work rotations and connect participants with a network of technical resources & engineering experts.We're seeking Mechanical, Aerospace, and Systems Engineering students to support a diverse range of disciplines, including, but not limited to:Test, Repair, and Systems Engineering

Process and Methods Engineering

Structures, Design, and Project Engineering

Materials & Process Engineering

Employees may be eligible to work remotely, on-site, or in a hybrid arrangement depending on the requirements of the specific position. Our internships start in May 2023 and conclude in August 2023.Basic QualificationsMust be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time of the assignment. Eligible majors include: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum GPA of 3.0

Fluent in English (verbal/written)

Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements

Preferred QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative

A passion for learning about and pursuing a career in aviation and aerospace

Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in responding to new business challenges

Eager to learn new things, contribute a fresh perspective, and share your knowledge with others

By becoming a member of the Pratt & Whitney Engineering Development Program (EDP), you will receive hands-on training to help you build your career in aerospace. This accelerated program will provide you an opportunity for professional growth as a college new hire and train you to be a future leader of the organization. College undergraduate and graduate hires are allowed to complete three to four assignments to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program. These rotations are complimented by discipline-specific training that will accelerate the development of EDP participants.What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is:Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.
