Overview Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Enterprise Team Lead. You will work closely with their Engineering, Architecture, and Application teams as well as other groups to identify requirements and processes for diverse, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, hybrid cloud), software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc. You will be leading and working hands-on with team of five (5), manage the workflow, user stories, day-to-day tasks and project solution-oriented responsibilities. Client environment: 95% virtualization, VMWare (vRealize and Horizon View), Hyper-V, Windows Servers, Active Directory, PowerShell Scripts, Exchange 2016 (hybrid solution) migrating to 2019 in the future and O365. Client currently has 30 physical servers and 300+ virtualized boxes.Client is a heavy Agile / SAFe environment, will be working heavily with user stories and Scrum Teams. Core Hours at 8am – 5pm shop with a 2/3 days work from home option, will participate in an on call rotation.Acts as a team lead resource in infrastructure engineering in all phases of the design and implementation process. Serves as point of escalation for third tier engineering enterprise support and provides expertise across a range of technologies within their area of responsibility. Analyzes resource utilization and coordinates priorities within the Enterprise Compute team to deliver successful outcomes utilizing the agile framework.

Principle Responsibilities
  • Establishing and maintaining a professional, productive and highly collaborative relationship between I&O our clients and partners.
  • Maintain L3 support for the virtual and physical Infrastructure hardware, operating system and virtual machines on servers that support our business requirements
  • Understanding the business drivers and value proposition of the areas supported.
  • Be responsible for analysis, recommendation of upgrades, design, changes, implementation and maintenance of software
  • Establish and maintain technical policies and procedures to ensure all systems within the environment function seamlessly.
  • Participate in a change control process for all planned application and technical activities.
  • Coordinates cross-functional projects and enterprise-wide programs to insure compliance with shared infrastructure strategies.
  • Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability and system resilience
  • Support the efforts for cross-training and collaboration, as well as mentoring other less-experienced members aiding in the automation and cloud initiatives
  • Build and maintain our hyperconverged infrastructure
  • Build and maintain highly available systems, implement and manage CI/CD using container tools such as (Kubernetes and Docker)
  • Build and support our Azure cloud infrastructure and service offerings
  • Acting as an escalation point within area of responsibility.
  • Participating in problem resolution efforts and post-incident reviews.
  • Direct the team to ensure organizational goals are attained within the agile framework.
  • Aid in the communication and collaboration with the Product Management teams, Architecture and Infrastructure Coordinators on project progress, issues and solutions.
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of I&O service offerings, delivery processes and technical capabilities.
  • Identifying, documenting and implementing process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 4-8 years of experience in an IT infrastructure related field, including the
Automated provisioning and management of these environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong technical background across multiple infrastructure domains.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Technologies: Server 2012/2016
  • Experience with supporting and managing multi cloud environments
  • Experience with HP Hyperconverged infrastructure
  • Experience with VMWare vRealize and Horizon View
  • Strong Experience with automation and scripting languages
  • Balanced level of understanding and working experience with the following:
    • Roaming Profiles, Group Policy, IIS, Active Directory
    • Day-to-day change, incident and problem management processes
  • A demonstrated ability in successful problem-solving and management of multiple tasks/priorities
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams in both a functional and a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to influence change
  • Familiar with container-based solutions, including working experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate technology topics within all levels of the IT department, including senior management
  • Technical infrastructure Agile experience desired.
