Our direct client is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks and goals. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user IT-related help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level. This contract position operates onsite in their Greenwich office. Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and commuter benefits.
Responsibilities:- Respond to IT incidents within a timely manner with an appropriate level of urgency
- Record, track, and document the help desk request problem including all decisions made and actions taken through to final resolution within our ticketing system
- Initiate and maintain consistent and appropriate follow-up of issues, tasks, and escalations with both end-users and team members
- Support team's abilities and functions through positive customer relations
- Assist with IT-related purchasing, invoice processing, and equipment management
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
- Follow all checklists for the installation of hardware and software; contribute new checklists where applicable
- Assist with Moves, Adds, and Changes to on-site user end hardware
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to effectively interact with users, peers, and senior management
- Must possess a desire to help others, have a positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks under stressful situations
- Proficient in troubleshooting a Windows-based environment
- Experience supporting Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong ability diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues in a Microsoft Windows Domain networked environment
- Image, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Windows-based desktops and laptops
- Install, configure and maintain corporate software applications
- Provide support for iPhone, Android, and other mobile devices
- Capable of supporting and troubleshooting common business technologies (i.e. scanners, printers)
- Intuitive sense of honesty and highest ethical standards; all actions and decisions are consistent with company corporate values
- Experience with mid-to-large scale workstation deployments; familiarity with tools such as MS Deployment services, PDQ, and WSUS)
- Basic networking skills and familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Ping, etc.
- Ability to handle administrative tasks for all messaging-related functions (i.e. Secure Email Gateway, Blackberry Work)
