Provide mortgage administration and post-closing assistance. To receive and respond to inquiries from members regarding mortgage applications.Responsibilities: Assist Secondary Marketing with retrieving outstanding Notes and preparing files for delivery, after closing has occurred Assist seasoned MLOs and processors with general processing follow-up functions via phone calls to members or vendors Initiate setup of mortgage applications by printing application and credit report Monitor incoming loan volume; assigning and tracking each loan prior to forwarding Monitor, field and direct phone calls; document as required Pre-qualify and/or take application for member if MLO/processor is unavailable Prepare marketing materials for mortgage section use in promoting Navy Federal mortgage and equity products Prepare packages for delivery to members, title companies or other parties Provide general mortgage related answers through varied media or in person to members seeking quick responses Review and submit appraisal invoices for payment from vendors Schedule pre-qualification and application appointments for MLOs and processors Send initial disclosures and update mortgage processing system File, fax and copy documents Review, prepare and submit production reports for tracking purposes Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services Perform other duties as assignedQualifications and Education Requirements: Incumbent will be required, prior to the assumption of employment duties, to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry; includes fingerprinting and background checks Ability to work independently and in a team environment Experience in the mortgage lending industry Working knowledge of Navy Federal mortgage and equity applications, products and services Basic skill counseling or interviewing persons concerning financial accounts, products and services Basic skill in Navy Federal Branch Office Member Service Representative functions; training required Effective clerical, technical or administrative skills Effective data gathering and research skills Effective member/customer service skills Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions Effective skill identifying and using all available forms of communication in a professional manner Effective skill performing mathematical calculations and working accurately with numbers Effective verbal and written communication skills Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skillsDesired Qualifications and Education Requirements: Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and proceduresHours: Monday - Friday; 8:30AM - 5:00PMLocation: Nautilus Park - 24 Sailfish Dr, Groton, CT 06340Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, this position will be temporarily working from home with plans to return to campus at the desired location listed once Navy Federal is back to normal operations.
